Academic Staff PROFILE

Olayide Sulaiman Agodirin, is a Professor in the Department of Surgery, and a Consultant General Surgeon, at the College of Health Science,  University of Ilorin with 14 years university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He a  former Coordinator the the Clinical Skills and Simulation laboratory and is currently the coordinator of research at the Institute of Medical Research and Training. He is a general and laparoscopic surgeon with a special interest in oncology and breast   pathologies. He has to his credit over hundred publications in reputable outlets covering journals, editted conference proceedings and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised numerous fellows in both the National and West African postgraduate medical colleges and he pioneered two surgical methods of the breast. He was won several research grants. Professor Agodirin is a member of many professional bodies  and a certified data analyst.
